Lockout ended at Velan’s Montreal factories
The 400 employees from three Montreal factories belonging to the industrial valve maker, Velan, are no longer locked out and are now back at work.

ROSS’ 21 & 27 series valves get SIL certification
It has been announced that Michigan-based ROSS CONTROLS’ 21 and 27 series in-line valves are now Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Certified per the requirements of the IEC 61508 2010 standard. These valves are suitable for use in safety instrumented systems up to SIL 2 and may be used in a redundant structure up to SIL 3.
