FCX acquired PCS

It is being reported that the Columbus, OH-based FCX Performance, Inc., a distributor of valves and controls, has completed the acquisition of Process Control Services, Inc. (PCS). PCS, which is located in Plymouth, Michigan, provides Instrument start-up, repair, installation and calibration services; In-house Depot Repair; Turnkey PLC Programming and Control Panel Fabrication.

Alfa Laval launches mixproof valves

Faulty valve inspected at nuclear plant

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has sent inspectors to the Omaha Power District Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, which is located in the state of Nebraska. The inspectors are investigating after a faulty valve was discovered, reported and repaired.

Valve World Americas Conference: Plenaries update

Emerson’s latest ball valves

Premium industrial goods company Emerson Electric Co. recently reinforced its product portfolio with the invention of a new metal-seated ball valve. The company’s business unit, Emerson Process Management, has launched the new ball valves under the name Fisher Z500 for its customers.

Curtiss-Wright supplying valves for submarine program

Curtiss-Wright Corp has been awarded contracts valued at over US$480 million to supply pumps, valves, generators and propulsors for the US Navy’s Block IV Virginia Class Submarine Program. The contracts cover 10 submarines, two per year from fiscal 2014 through to 2018.
