LaunchPoint tests new VVT valve actuator
LaunchPoint Technologies (LaunchPoint) recently completed testing a new version of its variable valve timing (VVT) electromechanical valve actuator (EVA) for internal combustion engines. The new design reduces power consumption by more than 50% compared to the previous design and has, thus far, exceeded 1 million cycles of endurance testing.
Standard range of butterfly dampers from DTL
DTL have launched a standard range of butterfly dampers that provide a simple and cost effective method of control and isolation for many industrial applications requiring a shut-off of up to 99%. The new range, which is powered by Rotork actuators, will be supplied in diameters ranging from 200mm to 1200mm (in increments of 50mm).
Portable valves gearbox for underground valves
F.lli Scapin’s brand-new RPM ‘Portable valve gearbox’ for valves operators helps easy and fast opening/closing on underground water valves not equipped with a reduction gearbox and usually moved by a Tee Key, valve requiring high Nm values (rather than manual work of one single operator) or valves needing a high number of turns to be fully open or closed.
Portable valve actuators for wastewater
Operating valves in water and waste water installations can be a laborious and dangerous task, especially if the valves are used infrequently, corroded or have varying torque requirements.
Submersible position monitor for hydraulic actuators
K Controls submersible valve position monitors can be fitted to a wide range of 1/4 turn or linear hydraulic sub-sea valve actuators. They continuously monitor the valve position through 4–20mA + HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION FIELDBUS signals.
