GE Oil & Gas has signed a record deal of nearly $1.1B (USD) with Brazilian energy company Petrobras. This is the world's largest subsea wellhead production contract.

The Carlyle Group L.P. And Sunoco Inc. have completed the formation of the Philadelphia Energy Solutions joint venture that will operate the Philadelphia Refinery, which has a processing capacity of 330,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Tallgrass Energy Partners LP entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (KMP) to purchase Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission, Trailblazer Pipeline Company, the Casper-Douglas natural gas processing and West Frenchie Draw treating facilities in Wyoming and KMP's 50% interest in the Rockies Express Pipeline (REX).

The new PVA slim-line air-operated butterfly valves with integral cast hose connection ends from Chalwyn are ideal for fitting into the short hoses between the intercooler and manifold of modern trucks including Scania, MAN and Mercedes Benz. High temperature seals on both the main disc and pneumatic actuator make these valves suitable for installations where the compressed air post turbo- charger can reach up to 120°C. Dominion has said it intends to pursue the sale of three fossil fuel-fired merchant power stations, one in Massachusetts and two in Illinois. One of the stations, Brayton Point Power Station, is a 1,536 MW power station in Somerset, MA with three coal-fired units and one unit fired by oil or natural gas.

GE Energy Management’s Power Conversion business has announced it will supply Swire Pacific Offshore Operations Limited with integrated power generation, propulsion, dynamic positioning and automation systems for eight new offshore platform supply vessels (PSVs). Four of the PSVs are being built by Universal Shipbuilding Corporation in Japan and the remaining four by Estaleiro Ilha S.A.
