Flowserve board gets new Director

Stora Enso builds demonstration plant in Louisiana

Following its recent acquisition of the US-based biotechnology company Virdia, Stora Enso is investing EUR 32M in a demonstration and market development plant to be built at Raceland, Louisiana, USA. The plant will be used for industrial validation of the newly acquired extraction and separation technology developed by Virdia that enables cellulosic biomass, such as wood or agricultural waste, to be converted into highly refined sugars.

Murata Machinery USA unveils shaft-turning machine

Murata Machinery USA, a leading manufacturer of high-volume CNC production machinery for industrial applications, introduced its new ML400L shaft-turning machine. “The ML400L is a longer version of Muratec’s ML400 shaft turning machine”, said Steve Landrum, North American Sales Manager of Murata Machinery USA’s Turning business unit.

Plains All American plans Cushing–Memphis pipeline

Plains All American Pipeline will construct the Diamond Pipeline, a 440mi, 20” crude oil pipeline that will provide capacity of up to 200,000 barrels per day of domestic sweet crude from the Plains Cushing, Oklahoma, terminal to the Valero Memphis Refinery, and the ability to access Valero Energy Partner's Collierville pipeline.
