Ross launches new multi-shaft mixer

Ross introduced a new multi-shaft mixer equipped with a helical ribbon agitator for excellent top-to-bottom mixing of viscous pastes, gels and dense suspensions. Two other agitators – a saw tooth blade and a three-wing anchor – deliver high-speed dispersion and very thorough product turnover.

US chemical production up

According to the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the US Chemical Production Regional Index continued to expand, rising by 0.4 percent in January following a downwardly revised 0.3 percent gain in December, as measured on a three-month moving average (3MMA).

Connecticut-based company, Conval, now offers over 12,000 configurations of Clampseal® Y, angle and T-pattern globe stop, check and stop check valves. These US-made forged valves are available in ½“ through 4” sizes through ASME #4500 Class with socket weld, butt weld, threaded, clamp connector, flanged ends or a variety of specials.

Proposed pipeline may use one-way check valves

Transcanada Corporation has filed a 30,000-page application to convert an existing gas pipeline to carry oil from Western Canada to Cornwall, Ontario. It also wants to build a new pipeline to carry the crude eastward through Quebec to Atlantic Canada.

Enbridge to boost size of pipelines

Enbridge Inc, Canada's largest pipeline operator, plans to boost the size of two lines carrying crude from the oil sands while shaving $400 million CAD ($320.4 million USD) from their original price tag.

Red Valve renews ISO certification

Pennsylvania-based Red Valve has recently renewed its ISO certification by successfully passing the audit process performed by an outside auditor. Red Valve originally received its ISO 9001:2008 certification in February 2012, which was up for renewal this year.
