Emerson’s FlowScanner 6000 with Kalsi’s KVAP

Emerson Electric Co. recently made some modifications to its FlowScanner 6000 valve diagnostic tool using Kalsi Engineering’s Kalsi Valve & Actuator Program (KVAP) software. Emerson’s FlowScanner 6000 is a diagnostic tool used to evaluate the performance of models and makes of air functioning control valves.

Husky launches UltraHelix valve gates

Belimo, the Switzerland-based company that produces control valves and actuators, has unveiled its new expanded 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Danbury, Connecticut. The new plant more than doubles the company’s production space from its existing facility in Danbury.

New no-leak 4.0” valve from Elkhart Brass

Elkhart Brass solved a valve design flaw with the introduction of the new No-Leak 4.0” Valve. The previous industry design was susceptible to seal damage, which caused leakage. This led to pressure test failures at OEM builders and possible leaks after vehicle delivery to end-users.

Two million vacant manufacturing jobs by 2025

The Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte are reporting that U.S. manufacturers will soon experience an even greater skills gap crisis than originally thought: Approximately two million unfilled manufacturing jobs by 2025, which is only 10 years from now.

Shell to buy BG Group

It is being reported that Royal Dutch Shell is in discussions with BG Group regarding a possible USD 70 billion merger between the two oil and gas companies. Shell has taken a step to boost its deepwater and LNG asset portfolio during the current low equity price environment by taking over BG Group.
