Nordson EFD introduces needle valve series

Nordson EFD, a Nordson company, has just introduced the xQR41 Series MicroDot™ needle valve. The valve features a 60 percent smaller form factor than standard valves, an exchangeable modular design for greater customisation and process control, and a Quick Release (QR) clasp that allows easy removal of the fluid body to replace wetted parts in seconds.

Alfa Laval launches mixproof valves

Unique mixproof valves have just been launched by Alfa Laval. They provide maximum flexibility in hygienic flow processing by making it possible to handle two different fluids at the same time, with no risk of cross-contamination.

DFT’s innovative axial-flow check valve

FCX acquired PCS

It is being reported that the Columbus, OH-based FCX Performance, Inc., a distributor of valves and controls, has completed the acquisition of Process Control Services, Inc. (PCS). PCS, which is located in Plymouth, Michigan, provides Instrument start-up, repair, installation and calibration services; In-house Depot Repair; Turnkey PLC Programming and Control Panel Fabrication.

Leak-free ball valves in stainless steel

Faulty valve inspected at nuclear plant

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has sent inspectors to the Omaha Power District Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, which is located in the state of Nebraska. The inspectors are investigating after a faulty valve was discovered, reported and repaired.

Valve World Americas Conference: Plenaries update

Two new plenaries have been added to the second morning of Valve World Americas on Thursday July 16th. At 8:30am Dr. M. Sam Mannan, Regents Professor and Director, Holder of T. Michael O’Connor Chair I, Mary O’Connor Process Safety Center, Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering, Texas A&M University System, will speak on the Role of Effective Valve Selection and Operation for Improved Safety Performance.

Emerson’s latest ball valves

Premium industrial goods company Emerson Electric Co. recently reinforced its product portfolio with the invention of a new metal-seated ball valve. The company’s business unit, Emerson Process Management, has launched the new ball valves under the name Fisher Z500 for its customers.
