Wood Group acquires Beta Machinery Analysis

Wood Group has acquired BETA Machinery Analysis (BETA), a Calgary-based engineering consultancy specializing in advanced vibration analysis in a deal valued at 14.3 million USD. BETA’s expertise in advanced vibration, pulsation stress and dynamic analysis of piping systems and machinery during the design and production phases are key elements in integrity management and strengthen Wood Group’s capabilities.

Parker Hannifin’s Viking Xtreme is an industrial inline valve that is designed to be resistant to salt spray and vibration, and it can perform at temperatures ranging from -40F to 140F, according to Parker.

BI-TORQ adds new products

BI-TORQ® Valve Automation has added to its suite of fire safe products. The additions include smaller FS/FW series valves and a new high pressure series. The FS/FW fire safe valves now include ¼" and 3/8" sizes in full port design.

Wolseley sells EPG business to Emco

Wolseley Industrial Canada recently announced the sale of its Engineered Pipe Group (EPG) to Emco Corp. With the purchase, Emco acquires Wolseley Industrial’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, fittings and flanges, and fabricated vessels business.
