Mattsco Supply celebrates 40th anniversary
Mattsco Supply Co. recently celebrate its 40th anniversary as an industrial oil field valve, pipe and fittings distributor. During the past four decades Mattsco has gone from a team of five working from a 25,000-square-foot building in west Tulsa, Oklahoma to approximately 40 employees operating out of a 100,000-square-foot facility near Catoosa.
McWane opens $28M valve plant in Abu Dhabi
Birmingham, Alabama-headquartered McWane Inc. recently opening its 27th manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi, at a cost of $28 million USD. The plant will make valve, fittings and plumbing materials. It's the company's fifth valve manufacturing plant worldwide.
Washington seismic valve replacement contract
The City of Bremerton, Washington, recently awarded Pape & Sons Construction, Inc., a $898,919 USD contract for a flow control and seismic valve project. The project originated back in 1995 with the introduction of a seismic vulnerability assessment which “identified a risk that we could basically lose a bridge, lose a water main," said Ned Lever, Bremerton's managing engineer for utilities.
OCV NSF/ANSI 61-G control valve listing
Tulsa, Oklahoma-based OCV Control Valves, manufacturer of automatic control valves, recently announced that it now has the most comprehensive NSF/ANSI 61-G listing in the control valve industry, certified through NSF International.
AZZ wins contract in China
Fort Worth, TX-based AZZ Incorporated, manufacturers of energy solutions equipment, including valve systems and power lines, has been awarded a contract by Yunnan Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Company for providing two circuits of 550kV-3150A Gas Insulated Lines (GIL) for the Huangdeng Hydro Power Plant in Yunnan Province, China.
