Pulp mill shutting down for valve repairs, etc.
The Northern Pulp mill located in Abercrombie Point, Nova Scotia is planning a 15-day maintenance shutdown on May 30th, to install a new electrostatic precipitator. But the mill’s general manager, Bruce Chapman, has said it will not restart until the precipitator is operational, which could be in late June or early July.
Ferguson acquires Redlon & Johnson
Ferguson Enterprises recently announced the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Redlon & Johnson Supply, a division of The Gage Co. Ferguson will operate from the former R&J locations as Redlon & Johnson, a Ferguson enterprise.
Cryofab acquires Cryocomp
The New Jersey-based manufacturer of cryogenic equipment, Cryofab, has acquired the California-based cryogenic valve supplier who also specializes in vacuum valve assemblies, Cryocomp Inc.
Cryofab designs and supplies cryogenic dewars, storage vessels and transfer systems for the industrial gas, research, aerospace, medical, semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
Brazilian ethanol pipeline to use Tenaris pipes
Tenaris will supply 145km of 20” pipes, produced from steel plates provided by Brazilian steel provider Usiminas, for the second phase of construction of the first Brazilian ethanol pipeline.
