Houston, Texas based Cheniere Energy Inc. has been granted government approval to build a facility that will make the company the first large-scale natural gas exporter in the United States.   Cheniere has said that regulators have approved the construction of the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

    A subsidiary of Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded the basic design and front-end engineering design contract by Complejo GNL del Este.

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) is set to install a third offshore LNG terminal in the Bay of All Saints. The Bahia regasification terminal (TRBA) will have the capacity to regasify 14 million CUM/day and will supply natural gas to the state of Bahia.
