A new study from The Freedonia Group, a Cleveland-based industry market research firm, predicts that the demand for industrial valves in the US will increase 4.9 percent per year to reach $19.8 billion in 2018.

Emerson Process Management has added another electro-hydraulic operator to its valve automation capabilities with the release of the Bettis EHO actuator. The EHO actuator couples proven technologies from Emerson’s Valve Automation offering of actuation and controls to handle critical shutdown situations where dependability is a must.

Rather than using two 2-way automated valves to control the flow of liquids, a single 3-way valve does the job with fewer components and lower cost. Assured Automation’s PTP Series 3-Way Ball Valves can be used for flow diverting or controlling two flows coming into a single line.

Asco’s new 0.55 low-power solenoid pilot valves provide a perfect solution to automation with low power consumption. Because the valve uses only 0.55 watt, more devices can be installed on a process plant bus network or they can be used in remote locations with solar/battery sources.
