Neles recently introduced their T5 series top entry rotary ball valves, designed for high performance under demanding control conditions. The unique stemball design of the new series combined with Neles’ patented anti-cavitation and low noise Q-trim technology make the valves suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty applications including blow down and anti-surge services.
The T5 series now comes standard with Q-trim design for superior noise attenuation (up to 18 dBA) and anti-cavitation operation. The latest Neles Q2-trim option is also available for gas applications and is ideal for high pressure industrial gases.
The T5 series also features a self-cleaning trim design with scraping seat, which can handle fluids forming coke and crystallizing substances at high temperatures. The T5 is available with metal-to-metal seats for extended life (Class V tightness) or the soft-seated design for Class VI tightness.
A wide range of additional options are available for the T5 series, including:
• oxygen construction for gaseous oxygen service
• packing constructions to meet ISO 15848 and U.S. Clean Air Act requirements
• optional well ends that allow 100% emission-free pipeline connection
• additional Q-trim options such as QX-trim and QXR-trim for extreme applications
The T5 series is available in a size range of DN 25 to 400 (1 in to 16 in) with pressure ratings of PN 25 to 100 (ASME 150 to 600). The valves can operate within a wide temperature range of -200° C to 600° C (-320° F to 1110° F).
