GE to provide control valves for power plant

GE has been awarded a contract to provide Masoneilan, LincolnLog, and SteamForm modulating steam control valves and auxiliary systems to Southern Company’s Mississippi Power Integrated Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant in Kemper County, Miss. The order includes more than 50 separate spray water control valves, turbine and process steam bypass valves, pressure reducing valves and silencers. It’s expected that the valves will be delivered in 2011 and the power plant is to be operational in 2014. The Masoneilan team will also offer continuing service and parts support for the bypass systems.
