FCCI honored for fabricating complex valves

Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security and Environment global business unit has honored Fluid Controls and Components (FCCI) for its outstanding work for the Hanford vitrification plant.
FCCI, located in Richland, Washington, completed a complex valve contract that required extensive engineering and technical planning. The valves had to meet nuclear quality standards, including Underwriters Laboratories certification. FCCI’s technical expertise allowed the valves to be delivered on time and within budget.
Earlier this year, FCCI developed a fabrication division and has received its second fabrication contract for a Hanford project. It also has completed a contract for a South Carolina project. It plans to expand its Richland operation to provide material dedication and fabrication services for a wide range of nuclear-related work.
FCCI was recently picked as one of the subcontractors from around the world to be recognized by Bechtel based on its overall performance, the ability to deliver high quality on time, the ability to work collaboratively to meet deadlines and meeting or exceeding expectations for safety, construction performance, technical expertise and environmental compliance.
