Valve World Americas workshop: Casting specifications

On Thursday July 16th, the second morning of the Valve World Americas Conference, there will be three educational workshops held concurrently from 10:30am to noon.
The third workshop will focus on casting specifications and quality for different services. It will be moderated by Steve Butler from Shell and panelists will include Bob Smith from MRC as well as representatives from both Crane and United Vale, who will be named in the upcoming weeks.
Discussion will center around the types of castings, where castings are used vs. forgings, standards that govern castings, how valve manufacturers qualify foundries and actual examples of actual casting defects.
