SM Series metering ball valves ranging from ½" to 2" in solid plastics are now available from Chemline Plastics. Designed for fine linear flow control of chemicals or clean fluids through 180o rotation of the handle, the valves feature a solid ball with a special V-groove cut on the outside surface.
Chemline series metering ball valves can become proportional control valves with the addition of an E series electric actuator. It also has an on-board positioner, thermoplastic housing and a mounting bracket.

Hayward Flow Control has announced the launch of a new design NVA Series needle valves, replacing the old style NV Series. The NVA Series is offered in sizes from ¼ to ½ inches. It features an integrated stem / PTFE seat, and incorporated in the new design are flanges for mounting panels, NPT threaded ends, and GFPP thumb wheel. The valves are available in PVC and GFPP with FPM seals. Fine pitch stem threads allow precise adjustment, and flow rates may be adjusted down to drops per minute. Non-shock ratings are to 150 psi at 70F. Specific application areas include water and wastewater treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, marine and corrosive environments.
Bear Tracker Energy, LLC (BTE) has signed definitive agreements with a large U.S. independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company to construct, own, operate and expand a natural gas gathering system that includes compression and other related facilities in the Bakken area of North Dakota.
Dresser has announced the renewal of a strategic supply agreement to serve as a global alliance supplier for a major engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance and project management (EPC) customer. The agreement includes the extensive supply of Dresser Consolidated and Dresser Masoneilan product and valve offerings for end user customer projects. Dresser Consolidated and Dresser Masoneilan engineers will work closely with partner engineers to develop flow and pressure control valve and safety pressure relief valve solutions for a wide range of applications in the oil and gas, power generation, chemical and petrochemical, life sciences, water and other process industries.
The U.S. Navy has awarded Austal a contract for construction of up to 10 Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). Contract for the first vessel is valued at $432.1 million with options for nine additional vessels over the following five years.
