News

Our editors gather news and press releases from around the world to bring our community the latest developments in the valve and actuation industry. Here you can find news involving the people and companies involved in the design, manufacturing, supply, maintenance and use of industrial valves and actuators. We focus both on engineered products as off the shelf products.

Valves perfect for chemical applications

SM Series metering ball valves ranging from ½" to 2" in solid plastics are now available from Chemline Plastics. Designed for fine linear flow control of chemicals or clean fluids through 180o rotation of the handle, the valves feature a solid ball with a special V-groove cut on the outside surface.

Actuator transforms ball valve

Chemline series metering ball valves can become proportional control valves with the addition of an E series electric actuator.  It also has an on-board positioner, thermoplastic housing and a mounting bracket.

Newly designed needle valve

Hayward Flow Control has announced the launch of a new design NVA Series needle valves, replacing the old style NV Series. The NVA Series is offered in sizes from ¼ to ½ inches. It features an integrated stem / PTFE seat, and incorporated in the new design are flanges for mounting panels, NPT threaded ends, and GFPP thumb wheel. The valves are available in PVC and GFPP with FPM seals. Fine pitch stem threads allow precise adjustment, and flow rates may be adjusted down to drops per minute. Non-shock ratings are to 150 psi at 70F. Specific application areas include water and wastewater treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, marine and corrosive environments.
