MRC files for public offering of common stock
Formerly known as McJunkin Red Man Holding Corporation, MRC Global Inc. a Houston, Texas headquartered global distributor of pipes, valves and fittings, has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Tesoro to sell Hawaii operations
Tesoro Corp., the San Antonio, Texas-based refiner announced its plans to auction off its operation in Hawaii which includes 32 retail stations, the Kapolei refinery and all related assets. The Kapolei refinery which makes gasoline, jet fuel, ship fuel, diesel, asphalt and fuel oil for electrical generation can process 94,000 bpd.
TransCanada on track with Alaska Project
Per its agreement with the state under the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, TransCanada Corp. is continuing on schedule to file a public convenience and necessity application with FERC for the Alaska Pipeline Project to transport to Lower 48 markets.

Obama administration rejects Keystone bid
A bid to expand the Keystone XL pipeline has been rejected by the Obama administration. President Obama released a written statement stating that the decision was not based on the merits of the pipeline but that the deadline set by Congress was of an “arbitrary nature”.
