Cheniere Energy export terminal approved
Houston, Texas based Cheniere Energy Inc. has been granted government approval to build a facility that will make the company the first large-scale natural gas exporter in the United States.
Cheniere has said that regulators have approved the construction of the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
Companies bid on offshore VA wind development
Eight companies have bid to develop offshore wind farms off the coast of Virginia, two of which are companies based in the state; the state’s largest electric utility, Richmond-based Dominion Resources and Charlottesville-based Apex Virginia Offshore Wind LLC.

Trunkline files to build Lake Charles LNG project
Energy Transfer Equity’s Trunkline LNG Company, Trunkline LNG Export and Trunkline Gas company subsidiaries have filed a request with the Federal Regulatory Commission to build a natural gas liquefaction project that is under development in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
