Tallgrass acquires Kinder Morgan midstream assets

Tallgrass Energy Partners LP entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (KMP) to purchase Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission, Trailblazer Pipeline Company, the Casper-Douglas natural gas processing and West Frenchie Draw treating facilities in Wyoming and KMP's 50% interest in the Rockies Express Pipeline (REX).

Canadian nuclear project receives site preparation

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Joint Review Panel (JRP) has said that it will issue a Nuclear Power Reactor Site Preparation License to Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG) for its new Darlington nuclear site power plant project for a 10 year period.

AMOT’s new slim-line butterfly valves

The new PVA slim-line air-operated butterfly valves with integral cast hose connection ends from Chalwyn are ideal for fitting into the short hoses between the intercooler and manifold of modern trucks including Scania, MAN and Mercedes Benz. High temperature seals on both the main disc and pneumatic actuator make these valves suitable for installations where the compressed air post turbo- charger can reach up to 120°C. The new valves are initially available in three sizes: 2.8”, 3.5” and 5.5”.

Dominion to pursue sale of 3 power plants

Dominion has said it intends to pursue the sale of three fossil fuel-fired merchant power stations, one in Massachusetts and two in Illinois. One of the stations, Brayton Point Power Station, is a 1,536 MW power station in Somerset, MA with three coal-fired units and one unit fired by oil or natural gas.

DTE Energy, Enbridge Inc. and Spectra Energy Corp have announced the joint development of the NEXUS Gas Transmission system.

GE to Supply equipment to Offshore Brazil Projects

GE Energy Management’s Power Conversion business has announced it will supply Swire Pacific Offshore Operations Limited with integrated power generation, propulsion, dynamic positioning and automation systems for eight new offshore platform supply vessels (PSVs). Four of the PSVs are being built by Universal Shipbuilding Corporation in Japan and the remaining four by Estaleiro Ilha S.A.

Foster Wheeler awarded contract for gas-to-chemica

Foster Wheeler AG announced that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Petrobras for a world-scale grassroots gas-to-chemicals complex in Linhares, Espirito Santo State, southeast Brazil.
