GE installs 500th wind turbine in Brazil

GE completed its 500th wind turbine installation in Brazil. The 1.6MW turbine was installed at DESA’s 38-MW Eurus project in João Camara in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. ”We selected GE for this project because of the company’s industry-leading technologies in wind power generation and its commitment to the industry here in Brazil”, said Carlos Augusto Leite Brandão, CEO, DESA.

Petrobras marks lower oil production in July

Petrobras announced that its July oil output (oil plus natural gas liquids) from all the company’s fields in Brazil was 1,888 thousand barrels per day (bpd), 4.6% lower than the previous month (1,979 thousand barrels).

New compact solenoid valves for rail sector

Norgren has launched a new compact valve range for the rail sector. The VRW 2/2, 3/2 way 32mm solenoid poppet valve is suitable for both direct integration onto a manifold or for use with a CNOMO Interface and G1/8 port.  The direct actuated valves have fully encapsulated coils, and are available in a wide range of power and orifice sizes.

Flowrox launches new PVG pinch valve

Flowrox introduced a new, pioneering valve solution, the PVG valve. Technip wins FEED for LNG liquefaction project

Trunkline LNG Export, LLC has awarded Technip a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for the potential expansion of the existing liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The potential expansion project includes a LNG liquefaction plant, with a total export capacity of up to approximately 15 million tonnes per annum, so that a portion of the vast additional supplies of natural gas produced from shale gas fields across the U.S.
