Foster Wheeler awarded EPC contract by PEMEX

A subsidiary of Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by PEMEX REFINACIÓN for an ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) project at the Salina Cruz refinery, Oaxaca, Mexico.

SIPOS’ cost effective reservoir inlet commissions

Widespread adoption of SIPOS Aktorik’s actuators is reported for Emergency Inlet Control Valve (EICV) and Automatic Inlet Control Valve (AICV) commissions for reservoir applications. The latest AICV reservoir installation for the electric actuator manufacturer is at Telarah WPS in Australia, where the actuator is part of a six-stage water supply system upgrade managed by Hunter Water.

Flowserve linear bases for electric actuators

Flowserve Corporation has developed a linear base that can easily attach to a Limitorque MX or QXM actuator for use in the electrical actuator control and choke valve markets. The Linear Base (LB) products are available in two sizes and can sustain valve thrusts up to 109kN.

Watson Grinding & Mfg. and Oil States Industries announce that their metal seated ball valve with tungsten carbide coating was unaffected by sand slurry test environment.The 2-1/16” 5,000psi 4130 alloy steel ball valve with tungsten-carbide-coated ball and seat components spent approximately 50 hours in service.
