    Advanced Emissions Solutions names new CEO

    Mr. L. Heath Sampson has been named as Advanced Emissions Solutions’ new President and CEO. He will be replacing Mr. Michael D. Durham who will be retiring from the company at the end of April, but will help to ensure a smooth transition before then.

    Xylem names new Senior Vice President

    Siemens SIPART PS2 Valve Positioner

    This year Siemens has introduced new functionalities to its SIPART PS2 Valve Positioner. It now has several new qualities including a Fail-in-Place (FIP) feature that causes the valve to remain in the last position when it loses power and not revert back to zero, which is what usually happens with standard valve positioners.

    Valves instrumental in successfully launching satellite

    Moog Inc. Space and Defense Group supplied materials, including valves, to the Boeing-built GPS IIF-9 satellite which was atop a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV Medium + 4,2 rocket. GPS IIF-9 is the ninth of twelve planned Global Positioning System (GPS) Block IIF satellites to support the space-based, worldwide navigation system.
