SGS has been awarded a three-year contract to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical instrumentation at two major petrochemical facilities in Brazil: Terminal Marítimo Almirante Soares Dutra and Terminal de Rio Grande.
Rotork’s Skilmatic SI3 Actuators
Building on the success of the Skilmatic SI range of actuators, Rotork has enhanced the specification by introducing the new SI 3rd generation, which includes an extended range of spring-return actuators with a torque ranges of 2,000 Nm to 20,000 Nm.

Texas manufacturing activity down
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey has revealed that the Texas factory activity declined this past April. The production index, which is a key measure of state manufacturing conditions, has posted a reading of -4.
