Pembia terminalling services for refinery

Pembina Pipeline Corporation announced that it will provide terminalling services for the North West Redwater Partnership (North West) with respect to North West's planned Sturgeon Refinery. The company also announced that it has entered into agreements to construct a new pipeline lateral in the Karr area of Alberta (the Karr Lateral) to service growing production from the Montney resource play.

Lockout ended at Velan’s Montreal factories

The 400 employees from three Montreal factories belonging to the industrial valve maker, Velan, are no longer locked out and are now back at work. On Friday June 5, 2015, the Fédération de l’industrie manufacturière, a CSN-affiliated union, announced that its Montreal members voted 62 per cent in favour of a deal proposed by mediator Louise Létourneau.

Pilgrim nuclear plant to receive closer scrutiny

In an inspection report released by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, federal regulators have announced that the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station may be subjected to even stricter oversight because of the glitches that occurred after the reactor shut down during a blizzard this past January.
