ITT to expand Wesminster testing facility

The high-technology engineering and manufacturing project company, ITT Corporation, will be expanding its manufacturing operations in Westminster, South California. The company will invest $1 million to construct a new testing facility for natural gas vehicle (''NGV'') components.

Rotork’s spur gearboxes

The introduction of the IS21 gearbox adds higher thrust ratings to Rotork’s established range of multi-turn, thrust taking spur gearboxes. Retaining most of the parts from the IS20, the IS21 incorporates a new F60 cast ductile iron thrust base, thrust bearings, spigot ring and output sleeve.

FCCI honored for fabricating complex valves

Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security and Environment global business unit has honored Fluid Controls and Components (FCCI) for its outstanding work for the Hanford vitrification plant. FCCI, located in Richland, Washington, completed a complex valve contract that required extensive engineering and technical planning.

ValvTechnologies gets new industry director

ValvTechnologies has named Ricky Ford as the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry Director, announced company president Kevin Hunt. Based in Houston, Ford will have global management responsibility for ValvTechnologies’ upstream oil and gas group and activities worldwide as well as long-term vision strategies for development and growth in the upstream severe service market.

Velan receives medal from Engineers Canada

Amongst a long list of honorariums to add to his legacy, A.K. Velan, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Velan, has been awarded the 2015 Gold Medal by Engineers Canada.
