OneSubsea awarded pump contract

OneSubsea®, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, was awarded a contract in the second quarter of 2015 to supply subsea processing systems, which included valves, for the Shell Offshore Inc. Stones development in the Gulf of Mexico.

Asahi/America’s new sales team member

Mr. Joe Pye has been with the company four years as part of its engineering staff, but has now been promoted to its sales team.

Curtiss-Wright wins electric actuators contract

The United States-based Curtiss-Wright Corporation’s Sensors & Controls division has announced that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with German automobile manufacturer BMW Group to provide its Exlar® brand of integrated, roller screw driven electric actuators for use on robotic weld guns.

Shell approved to drill in Arctic

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement’s (BSEE) Director Brian Salerno has announced that Shell has received approval of one Application for Permit to Modify (APM) to conduct exploratory drilling activities into potential oil-bearing zones offshore Alaska at one of the wells at the Burger prospect, Burger J.

Rotork acquires M&M International

M&M International, a manufacturer of general purpose solenoid valves, has been acquired by Rotork Instruments. For over 30 years, M&M is a leading manufacturer of general purpose solenoid valves, air actuated piston valves, automatic drain valves, connectors, coils and customised instrumentation solutions used throughout the commercial and industrial flow control industries.

ABB Robotics Houston open house

On September 9th, 2015, ABB Robotics will be hosting an open house from 8:30am to 4:00pm at its new Houston facility. Emerson signs agreement with BP

Valve maintenance increases power plant’s output

The Columbia Generating Station located near Richland, Washington is now putting enough electricity on the grid to serve about 40,000 more homes compared to its output five years ago. The difference has been the maintenance and improvements made during its refueling outages.
