Forecast: Butterfly valve market to 2019

According to a recent report from Sandler Research, the increasing demand from the oil and gas industry will drive the demand for butterfly valve at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 6% in the forecast period 2015-2019, due to an increase in exploration and upgrading activity.

FNC new 1000 series breather valves

FNC, with operations in North and South America, has released its 1000 series PV “breather valves” featuring a new shape for fluid dynamic improvements, pipeaway connection on pressure and process side, and pallet guide outside the process.

AUMA lands significant valve control order

AUMA, a manufacturer of valves and actuators with various locations in the North and South America, has been chosen to supply valve control devices at the Al Wasit Gas Programme, Saudi Aramco’s gas fields located in the Arabian Gulf.

Miles-Platts program promotes valve industry

Miles-Platts has announced a five-year major investment program as it gears up to grow its customer base. During that time, it will install 10 new moulding machines at its base in England. Miles-Platts, with distribution and operations in North and South America, supplies precise injection moulded components into a wide range of industrial sectors, from energy and automotive to transport and the construction industry, with applications for industrial solenoid valves and actuators.

New Hayward Flow relief valves

Hayward Flow Control announces the launch of its new Chemical Feed Product line. The newly released products include pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves and pump calibration columns. These new products expand Hayward’s range of thermoplastic fluid handling products and solutions for chemical dosing systems and corrosive environments.

Wouter Witzel valves for LNG ferries

Wouter Witzel, with sales offices in North and South America, will supply butterfly valves to two Liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered ferries. Ordered by a Swedish customer, the Chinese Shipyard CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering Group Company Ltd.

Rotork valve actuators for nuclear plants

EDF Energy, with operations in North and South America, has approved Rotork IQ3 non-intrusive intelligent valve actuators for balance of plant applications within its nuclear power stations. EDF Energy operates nuclear power stations around the world, including eight in the UK, where it hopes to build four more reactors at two sites.

Bestobell valve order for 2nd LNG ship

Bestobell Marine, a supplier of cryogenic globe and check valves for ships, with operations in North and South America, has secured a large order for its cryogenic globe and check valves. The order is for the second LNG carrier in the Yamal series of vessels being built at DSME shipyard in South Korea.

Valve Manufacturers’ Association elects Board

The Valve Manufacturers Association elected new board members at the 77th Annual VMA/VRC (Valve Repair Council) Meeting held September 30 to October 2 in Naples, Florida. The top leader’s position in the organization—Chairman—went to Bob Kemple, ASCO Numatics, who succeeds Greg Rogowski, Mueller Co.
