Air Liquide acquires Airgas

Airgas recently agreed to be acquired by French competitor Air Liquide for USD $143 a share, over 100% higher than the 2011 offer it fended off. The cash deal values Airgas at $13.4 billion when including its outstanding debt, and brings together two complementary businesses.

Hayward Flow Control, a manufacturer of industrial thermoplastic valves, has announced the addition of PVC and CPVC FLV Series Bag Filters to their range of industry leading thermoplastic filtration products.

Victaulic’s new system for steam operations

Pennsylvania-based Victaulic, a distributor of valves and other flow-control products, has developed the world’s first grooved piping system for saturated steam and condensate piping. Designed for use on industrial and commercial steam applications, the system features the Style 870 rigid coupling, a full line of fittings, and pipe preparation tool roll sets to process the new OGS-200 groove profile.

Tax credits for California valve manufacturer

San Joaquin County valve manufacturer, Morril Industries Inc., will receive $200,000 in state tax credits that will bolster total investments in expansion projects, according to a recent announcement by California business officials.

Trimble acquires Telog for wireless monitoring

Trimble has acquired privately held Telog Instruments Inc. (Telog), based in Victor, New York. Telog is a wireless water infrastructure monitoring and management company. The acquisition extends Trimble’s smart water strategy by adding advanced water management technology and productivity solutions to the company’s portfolio.

Hantemp Controls’ new stainless ball valve

Illinois-based Hantemp Controls, a manufacturer of stainless steel refrigerant valves & other refrigeration controls, has introduced an innovative ball valve designed to withstand the often corrosive and harsh environments of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems. Featuring a stainless steel body, ball, stem, back-seat spring, and trim, the COBRA-NECK® ball valve can be used to control pressure, temperature, flow, and liquid level in large refrigeration systems.

Coperion diverter valve wins innovation award

Coperion, with offices in North and South America, was awarded the Food Safety Innovations Award for its CIP design WYK diverter valve at the 2015 International Dairy Show. The patent-pending design of the WYK diverter valve incorporates a retractable rotor assembly and is completely designed in accordance with European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) guidelines.
