MRP’s new EPDM material for valve seals

Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP) has introduced a new ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) material, Qmonix 558EC, specifically formulated to meet the demanding food contact requirements of European Commission framework regulation EC1935/2004.

Watson-Marlow acquires Flow Smart

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG), which includes Aspeco valves, has acquired the business and assets of Flow Smart Inc., through its parent company Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc. Flow Smart is a natural extension of the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group fluid path product portfolio and further strengthens WMFTG's global presence in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, which already includes Aspeco aseptic valves, Watson-Marlow Pumps, Watson-Marlow Tubing, Flexicon Filling Systems, BioPure single-use tubing connector systems and Alitea OEM Pumps.

Heat-Line DEF protection for tanker valves

Lorne Heise, founder and President of Ontario-based Heat-Line Freeze Protection Systems, has announced that his company is now manufacturing a range of Kompensator low voltage 12 and 24-volt heating cable sets.

Flomatic 888 check valves NSF/ANSI 61 certified

Flomatic Corporation has announced that all of their Model 888 silent wafer check valves are now NSF/ANSI standard 61 certified for drinking water systems. Effective immediately all sizes and models will be constructed with EPDM elastomers as standard.

AUMA actuators for San Francisco WSIP

AUMA has supplied over 250 actuators to the City and County of San Francisco Public Utility Commission’s Water System Improvement Program (WSIP). The WSIP is a major restoration initiative to upgrade a 100 year old water supply system of reservoirs, treatment plants, valves and pipelines that stretch 150 miles east of the City of San Francisco.

ITT valves receive OSHA approval

ITT Engineered Valves, LLC has been approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), US Department of Labor for the Star Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Approval into VPP is OSHA’s recognition of the exceptional efforts of employers and employees who have  implemented effective safety and health management systems and maintain injury and illness rates below national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for their industry.
