Analytic Systems’ 1000W charger for VRLA batteries

Vancouver-based Analytic Systems has introduced the IBC1020 Intelligent Battery Charger. The charger is preprogrammed for three standard types of Lead Acid batteries; VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid), Flooded (traditional Lead Acid) and AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat Lead Acid).

‘Unusual event’ declaration at N.J. nuclear plant

An "unusual event" was recently declared at the Salem 2 nuclear reactor in New Jersey, after a relief valve improperly opened during troubleshooting, allowing the release of approximately 25 gallons of water from the plant's cooling system.

PIM valve management software uptake

Plant Integrity Management (PIM), with clients including Canadian Natural, Nexen, BP Global and Chevron, is expecting a 16% increase in the uptake of its PIM Relief software by the end of Q1 2016. The Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) workflow cycle management software was first released in May 2013 and has so far been implemented on 55 assets across the North Sea and Middle East.
