Red Valve renews ISO certification
Pennsylvania-based Red Valve has recently renewed its ISO certification by successfully passing the audit process performed by an outside auditor. Red Valve originally received its ISO 9001:2008 certification in February 2012, which was up for renewal this year.
Metcar’s bearings suitable with high temp. valves
Metallized Carbon Corporation (Metcar) has designed a range of bearings designed for louver dampers in boiler applications for instance, in coal- or refuse-fired power plants.
The Metcar bearings are suitable for boiler damper blade shaft bearing applications because of their ability to cope with extremely high temperatures.
Phillips 66 improving Yellowstone pipeline
Currently, Phillips 66 is preparing to replace a pipe near Billings and bury it deeper below the Yellowstone River.
The company has improved 60 of its pipeline river crossings in recent years and has 40 more to go.
