CARZ valve now has safety switch

Nederman CARZ valves have been improved with the addition of the CARZ safety switch, which meets the requirements of NFPA 69-2014 Paragraph 12.2.3.4.4.

This switch must be wired appropriately to immediately stop the process on activation. Should a deflagration event occur that causes the CARZ valve to close, the safety switch will initiate the controls for proper shut down.

Nederman offers ATEX-approved dust collectors and ancillary components such as the CARZ valve to increase safe handling of combustible powders and dusts. The CARZ valve is designed to prevent the effect of a pressure wave and flames caused by an explosion from returning along the pipework and back into the production area.
