Baker Hughes was recognized by U.S. President Joe Biden and the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation as an outstanding corporate volunteering organization for the work contributed to the Houston Food Bank in 2023. Baker Hughes received the 2023 Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award for the third consecutive year, donating over 1,000 hours of service – equivalent to about 67,708 meals.
The Houston Food Bank distributes food and other essentials to those in need through a network of more than 1,600 community partners. In addition, they also provide programs and services aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability including nutrition education, health management and help in securing state-funded assistance.
