Baker Hughes Awarded Control Valves Contract

Baker Hughes has been awarded a control valves contract for the Diamond Green Diesel plant to be built in Port Arthur, Texas. Baker Hughes – Masoneilan will supply 335 Control Valves. Baker Hughes – Masoneilan Valves will provide a wide range of control valves from ball valve to severe service valves. Baker Hughes Channel Partner – Setpoint Integrated Solutions will provide onsite support.

Diamond Green Diesel Holdings LLC (DGD) is a 50-50 joint venture of Valero Energy Corp. and Darling Ingredients Inc., building a grassroots 470-million gal/year renewable diesel plant at Valero’s 395,000-b/d refinery in Port Arthur, Tex., along the Texas Gulf Coast.  The new renewable diesel plant is scheduled to be completed and begin commercial operation in second-half 2023.

Baker Hughes has been awarded a control valve equipment contract which includes a wide range of valve products, from ball valves to severe service valves like the Lincoln Log® high pressure liquid letdown valve.  Baker Hughes – Masoneilan will provide their 36005 V-Max ball valves, 21000 and 41005 linear globe valves, 35002 Camflex Valves, 28000 Varipak micro valves and the 78400/18400 Lincoln Log® Anti Cavitation valve.  Materials of construction will be Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Hasteloy based on application requirements.
