GE Oil & Gas, with branches in North and South America, recently expanding its 3D printing capabilities by introducing the first metal 3D printers to its operating plant in Kariwa, Japan.
Using these hybrid printers, they are manufacturing control valve parts that can be used in numerous application within the energy industry. One of the benefits of using additive manufacturing to produce these parts is the freedom to design specific types of valves in shapes that are impossible to manufacture using traditional molding techniques.
