Zahroof Valves win Carbon Reduction award

Zahroof Valves Inc. (ZVI), established with a focus on improving the performance of reciprocating compressors, today announced it was a recipient of the prestigious 2016 Edison AwardTM in the category of “Carbon Reduction”. Zahroof Valves was chosen as a Bronze award winner for its innovative Zahroof StraightFlo Valve (SFV) Valve used in reciprocating compressors. Because of its patented Modular Reed Valve design, gas flows straight through the valve with very little losses. The result is better efficiency resulting in lower fuel consumption and engine emissions. The SFV is much more reliable than conventional valves minimizing unscheduled shutdowns and resulting in less down-time and 2 – 5x greater intervals between valve related servicing of the compressor. This directly reduces the amount of gas emissions into the atmosphere due to the venting, blowdown and purging of the compressor and pipes required at every compressor service.
