Weir USA Renews Quality and Environmental Certificates

Weir Valves & Controls USA Inc. announced the renewal of their ISO 9001 Certificate to the 2015 Standard. The Quality Policy Manual and all related procedures have been reviewed for compliance and all employees have been trained on the updated Quality Management System.
ISO 9001:2015 applies to any organization, regardless of size or industry. More than one million organizations from more than 160 countries have applied the ISO 9001 Standard requirements to their Quality Management Systems. Organizations of all types and sizes find that using the ISO 9001 Standard helps them; organize processes, improve the efficiency of processes, consider opportunities / risks and evaluate processes to continually improve.
The audit was performed by Hartford Steam Boiler Registration Services and took three days to review Quality Management System upgrades to the 2015 Edition of ISO 9001. WVC USA processes were audited from sales order entry to manufacturing to quality and inspection. The audit plan also included analysis of how the company measures overall business performance and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, WVC USA’s ISO 14001 Certificate was updated from the 2004 to 2015 Standard. The notified body, Advanced Waste Management Systems Inc., evaluated WVC USA for the design, manufacture, assembly and test of valves and flow control equipment and determined the company to be in conformance with all provisions of the Environmental Management System.
“I’m extremely proud of our entire team for their hard work and dedication toward achieving these Standards. We will focus our efforts on continually improving in order to serve the demands of our markets and customer base,” says Mark Claffey WVC USA President.
All flow control valves and spare parts manufactured at the WVC USA factory in Ipswich, Massachusetts are produced to ISO Standards for commercial applications and ASME Standards for nuclear applications.
