Velan ABV appoints new Managing Director/Chief Executiv

Velan ABV S.p.A. has appointed Paolo Ranieri as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive. Paolo will be bringing a critical mix of management expertise and technical knowledge to his new position. A qualified mechanical engineer, Paolo has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, combined with Six Sigma(R) green belt and executive black belt certification, obtained at GE Oil and Gas.

The majority of Paolo’s career was spent at GE Oil and Gas, where he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including Health and Safety Manager, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager, Product Manager and finally Chief Engineer of Design and R&D.

Paolo was most recently Plant Manager at Ring-O Valves, a division of Cameron that specializes in subsea valves, where he supervised over 300 plant employees.
