EZee tag is a unique system from Transmark Fcx which allows easy, efficient tracking of valves and associated equipment through its life cycle. The use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Data) combined with WiFi®, GPS (Global Positioning System) and handheld devices makes accurate collection and storage of data efficient and cost effective. The Transmarck Fcx helps engineers optimize limited maintenance resources from initial supply and installation through maintenance to replacement with the use of electronic ‘keys’ to access individual valve and plant information. An electronic scan of a tag proves that equipment has been visited, and the GPS technology makes it easy to quickly locate particular valves. The EZee Tag uses a robust hand-held device that can be operated in the field to capture and record information. That same handset is also able to take inputs from other devices, such as leak detection equipment, and can be automatically synchronised with the master database to keep records fully updated.
