Valve enables low power automation

Asco’s new 0.55 low-power solenoid pilot valves provide a perfect solution to automation with low power consumption. Because the valve uses only 0.55 watt, more devices can be installed on a process plant bus network or they can be used in remote locations with solar/battery sources. The new low-power valve is ideal for process applications in the upstream oil and gas, refining, chemical and power generation industries, especially in applications powered by renewable energy sources like solar panels Smaller battery packs enable extended operation, and the low-power valve is designed to be wired directly into a plant’s bus network I/O interface with no additional power source.
