Valmet is currently expanding its Latin American operations with the construction of a new facility in Sorocaba, São Paulo.
The facility will house a valve production unit and administrative offices for Valmet’s Flow Control and Automation Solutions businesses. According to Valmet, it will be double the size of its existing center in Sorocaba.
The project, which is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026, will also manufacture actuators and positioners for the pulp and paper, mining, refineries, petrochemicals, and biofuel industries. Additionally, it will house a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) area for automation projects.
