Valmet has expanded its Latin American operations with the building of a new facility in Sorocaba, São Paulo. The facility will house a valve production unit and administrative offices for the company’s Flow Control and Automation Solutions businesses.
According to Valmet, the location will produce valves, actuators, and positioners to serve customers in various process industries. These include pulp and paper, mining, refineries, petrochemicals, and biofuels. It will also include a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) area for automation projects.
The facility further strengthens its capabilities to develop sustainable solutions close to its customers. Construction is expected to be completed during the first half of 2026 and will be double the size of the existing plant currently in Sorocaba.
