Valero expanding crude unit in Texas

Valero Energy Corp has announced plans to expand the capacity of the crude unit at its McKee refinery in the Texas Panhandle by 25,000 bpd. The expansion will take place over the next three years and will boost the amount of crude oil to be processed at the plant to 195,000 bpd. The plan is part of Valero’s expansion of its crude gathering system which involves an expansion of a pipeline as well as construction of more pump stations and storage facilities. Cost and completion date have not been determined.
