Valcor Acquires Rights on CU Services Products

Valcor Engineering, a designer and manufacturer of solenoid valves and flow control components for liquids and gases, announced that they have acquired the rights to manufacture and sell CU Services products.

CU Services has been providing products to the power and process industries for over forty-five years. Their line of products include: plug resistant orifices to drain steam and condensate lines in power and process plants, diffusers for high pressure drop service, diffuser silencers for high pressure service as well as multistage let-down orifices.

“This will allow Valcor to provide consultation and replacement components to legacy products, as well as the ability to supply unique solutions in critical applications in the power and process industries,” stated Steven Gatcomb, Nuclear Sales & Marketing Director.

CU Services orifices have been used in power plants and process applications around the world since 1971, and were designed to prevent inadvertent water induction into turbine cylinders by replacing failure-prone steam traps. Diffusers are made for pump spillback and flow restriction to eliminate the damage that is caused by control valve cavitation. Silencers greatly reduce steam vent noise and creates a back pressure on the vent valve to reduce the wear and tear on the valve.
