The new Rotork RC200-DOS

The Rotork RC200-DOS is a development of the well-established compact RC200 failsafe pneumatic actuator incorporating a dosing and Partial Stroke Testing (PST) operation.
PST is a vital safety procedure, which ensures that an Emergency Shutdown (ESD) or High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) will operate as intended when required. By closing the valve for only a small percentage of its total travel, it enables the test to be achieved without any interruption to the process.
The RC200-DOS design offers a simple and reliable solution for any ESD application. The PST function is accurately adjustable using mechanical travel stops and easy to control with only two 3/2 solenoid valves. Reliable failsafe operation is provided by the actuator spring.
The compact RC200 scotch yoke actuator is particularly suitable for quarter-turn valves with high start or end torque requirements. The DOS version is suitable for valves requiring up to 660 Nm (5,840 lbf.in.) operating torque at 6 bar (90 psi). Valve mounting flange dimensions are in accordance with DIN 3337 & ISO 5211 standards. The standard operating temperature range is -20 ºC to +80 ºC (-4 ºF to +176 ºF) with high and low temperature options also available. Actuator certification encompasses PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU.
