Offshore oil and gas exploration has become increasingly challenging as the days of 100 dollar per barrel are gone, at least for the time being. We spoke with Alec Johnson, Senior Mechanical Engineer with Petrobras about this subject. He commented, “We are not talking about Cadillacs anymore but economy vehicles. The industry has to come up with new and creative solutions to meet the established technical requirements for the lowest possible capital and operational costs.”
