The future of the United States valve industry can be addressed from the perspective of the U.S. government concerned with maximizing employment or possibly GDP. There is a good argument to be made that the two goals are in conflict. The future can also be framed by valve purchasers. Another perspective is created by valve manufacturers with international ties. There are other perspectives such as international distributors of U.S. made valves and U.S. importers of offshore valves.
